Albert's father nicknamed him Judge because he thought that Albert always looked so somber like a judge.


Research

Albert's unusual middle name may have come from friends of his father's family in Xenia. There are several members of the Chew family buried in section G of the Woodland Cemetery in Xenia. There is a large monument marker there in section S. with the Chew name along with three other surnames.
