Name Info

MATTHEW MEREDITH WILSON 1810-1886
Fathers:MATHEW,JAMES,WILLIAM

Matthew and Keziah gave some unusual middle names to their eight sons. Some are for last names of their ancestors: Hildebrand, Shultz and Lawrence. That means that the other five middle names could also be ancestral last names. Stitt is one since there was a Stitt family in Huntingdon county and a female named Eliza Stitt was living with Keziah's parents per the 1850 census (and with the Hildebrands per the 1860 census) as was their son Matthew Durbin Wilson. Thus, other ancestors yet [in 2022] to be discovered include: Magee, Durbin, Herbert and Eberman.
From that, the 1810 census has:
Stitt, R., Alexandria (Huntingdon) PA males 2-4-1-0-1 females 1-1-0-1-0-1 and 8 names down from him is J. Wilson 1-1-0-0-1 0-0-1-0-1
Magee has two in Sussex county DE and one in Prince George's MD: Peter, David and Jesse
Durbin is not a last name found in 1810 census
Herbert, John C., Prince George's county MD males 2-0-2-1-0 females 1-0-1-0-0-0 Wilson and on the same page are (?)Annis Wilson, Stephen Wilson and Thomas
