Wilson contested and won a court case concerning the will of his father. Reamy had already won a prior ruling that he was indeed the son of the late Captain William Wilson. William, who had married twice, did not mention Reamy, his only child which he had by his first marriage, in his will. William wanted to leave his estate to his widow DeEtta during her lifetime and then to his nephews and nieces, who were: Lawrence Wilson, Mrs. Gertrude Wilson Sawin, Mrs. Lora Wilson Haughton [Hoghton], Mrs. Nellie Van Horn Moorehead, and Mrs. Mary Van Horn Dare. The nephews and nieces of William's who were not listed in his will were: Hannah (Wilson) Van Horn's oldest son Charles, Evaline (Wilson) Smart's two children Alberta and Margaret, and, all six children of Robert S. Wilson (all of whom were living at the time in Kansas City).

His physical characteristics listed include: 5'9' tall, gray hair and gray eyes, dark skin complexion. A witness was M. Wolf who stated he had known William for twenty five years.

Deaton and Leonidas Bills. The case denotes that L.B. Deaton is not a resident of Tennessee [he was a resident of Arkansas at the time] and that L.B. needs to appear before the court.
