The were to later go to St. Paul and, by water, to Dubuque to visit family. Attendees included: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Christman of Joplin, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Beck and Miss Floy Moore of Akron, all three of these women being sisters of the groom.

He stopped to see Mr. M.A. Cass at the Plymouth Cereal Mills then left to continue to his office. While crossing a field, he had a heart attack and fell. An acquaintenance saw him fall and ran to his aid but Milton died a few minutes later.
