General
In 1931 Benjamin was living in Big Sandy (Benton) Tennessee. He wrote a paper he called "A Short Sketch of My Life". In it he he said just a sentence or two about each of his children and each of his siblings. He also said where his father and paternal grandfather were buried. Although Benjamin had recently separated from his wife of forty years, he said: Life to me is one fine, stormy, tempestous sea with an occasional calm. Also sometimes a beautiful flower garden where birds sing and flowers bloom. But in order to live a Christian life, I have to keep busy. I find I must read my Bible every day and pray every day and try to do some good every day. I do hope that all who read these words may breathe a silent prayer for me.
