The will of Mordecai McLane, step-grandfather to Matthew Meredith Wilson's four half-siblings, is on file in Huntingdon county dated 1804-02-03. John McLane attested to it on 1811-08-13. Mordecai lived in the town of Tyrone when he died. Mordecai mentions his wife Mary and leaves her the house and furnishings. Also mentions Peter McLane and Matthew Wilson and James Wilson and Mordecai Wilson and Eleanor Wilson. Peter might be a brother of Mary, however, in Africa's book of the · history of Huntingdon and Blair counties is that the only son of Mordecai is John.
