From October 26 through 28, 2012, over 60 people gathered in Virginia (McLean and Falls Church) to celebrate the 90th birthday of Jack. The actual birthday was a couple of days earlier. On Monday October 29 is when Hurricane Sandy struck the east coast, one of the most damaging hurricanes ever up to that point. Several of the birthday party guests were stranded in the area in homes and hotels without electrical power.
