: 1908 , Age:54y 9m 27d, Xenia, Greene county, Ohio, Role:co-founder, engineer, Upon returning to Xenia, he co-founded a general engineering and construction company called Wilson and Schlesinger. He bought out Schlesinger's interests within a year. Soon after the company was called Wilson and Dean and still later it was renamed to L.D. Wilson Company. In 1911 it was incorporated and renamed to The Wilson Engineering and Contracting Company. It had offices on S. Detroit Street in Xenia. The company later established coal and builder's supply businesses with yards on Washington Street. It thus abandoned the engineering business though it kept the company name. The Wilson Engineering and Contracting Company later purchased the Shawnee Refrigerator Company and renamed it to be the Xenia Ice Company. The two companies merged their operations and were located on W. Church Street. After prohibition was repealed, the Xenia Ice Company became a distributor for several brands of beer in twenty counties in southwestern Ohio. It also established a warehouse in Columbus.
