General

She was a descendant of Resolve White, a young boy on the Mayflower.

Mary was captured by the Indians during the attack in which her husband and two of her children were killed. While among the Indians for two years she learned of their use of roots and herbs for medicinal purposes. Her knowledge became very useful among the citizens of Lancaster as the nearest doctor was in Concord. also see FAIRBA 0213145 S also see WHITE1 031335 S
