General

WikiTree.com says her father is John Meadows, however, no information is given for him

Research ,
Dorothy could be a sister of ancestor Sarah Meadows that married Thomas Sanford. Dorothy was likely was the first marriage of Thomas Sanford and they had one child, Ezekiel before she died. Ezekiel is not known to be an ancestor thus Dorothy is not an ancestor. Dorothy's sister Sarah also married Thomas Sanford. They had several children including ancestor Sarah that married Richard Shute.
The information across several sources are close but somewhat different in some varying ways. Some say instead of Dorothy and Sarah being sisters that there was one lady named Sarah Dorothy. Others have Dorothy and Sarah married to the same Thomas Sanford and both died in 1681. And some sources have Sarah married to Thomas Shute and/or instead of Thomas Sanford.
