- John Goodenow of Sudbury came in 1638 in ship "Confidence" from Southampton England at age 42 [born 1596] with wife Jane and daughters Lydia and Jane. John, a husbandman, freeman 1641, selectman 1644, died 1654. His will mentions other kids: John, Joseph, David and Benjamin.
