I have been in upper Michigan a few times in the past. Always liked this area. If not for the harsh winters, I could enjoy living here.
This trip was to visit several national parks along the shores of the Great Lakes. I also finally got to drive across the Mackinaw bridge.
For the three days I spent in Michigan, it rained pretty much the whole time. Mostly it was a light rain, never a day-time downpour.
Upper Michigan is "growing" its traffic too, like much of the rest of the country. Uncertain why northern states keep losing population with each census because traffic keeps increasing.
Since the visitor center at Pictured Rocks Seashore national park was closed, I was uncertain where to go to see anythjng. Np park brochures/maps were available as far as I could tell.
The Keweenaw national park in Hancock-Houghton area is closed until June 6. So nothing to see there either since the park is all about the copper mining done in the area thus would only be exhibits in the visitor center.
