This city originally was a pass-through on the way to Roger Williams University. However, I needed
to spend an hour somewhere before the New Bedford Whaling Historic Park opened. Thus, I chose the
Colt State Park on the east side of the Narragansett Bay. It was a good choice. Peaceful, scenic,
few people (although many were walking by along the shore and a few were fishing). The park was just
a mile or so northwest of Roger Williams University when I was planning to go to so I could
photograph the campus signs.
