Came to New Bedford to see the national park there -- New Bedford Whaling Historic Park. I knew little about the history of this area. None of my ancestors lived in this part of Massachusetts much less were seaman. Thus, mostly new information for me.

A person could easily spend most of a day seeing all that is a part of this park. Several buildings in town are historic for the whaling times (mostly the 1800's). The 20-minute video really helped explain all that happened during that time period for the city.
