The only stop I made in Utah on this trip was in the southwestern part of the state to the
town of Cedar City. I drove through this town a couple of years ago but at the time was
unaware that Southern Utah University was here. This trip I stopped to photograph the
campus signs. To get here was quite an out-of-the-way trip on narrow two-lane curvy mountain
roads, most of it before sunrise.
I have been to Utah a number of times, mostly for its numerous national parks.
This time I originally planned to visit GlenCanyon and take the 25-minute ferry ride across
Bullfrog Bay between Bullfrog Marina and Halls Crossing. However, since I had flown to the
southwest, time was limited and this visit and ferry ride added too many hours. Maybe some
day in the future since I have some "loose strings" in Utah that may warrant a return visit
to the state.
