I have been to Kentucky before and will return later this year. I dread coming to this state because it is one of the worst in the U.S. for handling highway road construction. Instead of having a single lane open each direction, like most states, Kentucky simply blocks all traffic for about an hour. They did that to me -- TWICE -- the last time I was through this state.

This trip was only in the southwest part of the state to photograph the signs at twio college campuses and to visit a national park, Mammoth Cave, although I refuse to go into caves.

Traffic was decent this time. I actually encountered snow in most of this part of the state. It is the kind of snow that sticks to everything except roads.

Still several colleges to visit in the central part of the state. Those should be covered by the trip in two months. Then I should be done with this state.
