I was in the southwestern and south central part of the state a couple of months earlier this ear. I dread coming to this state because it is one of the worst in the U.S. for handling highway road construction. Instead of having a single lane open each direction, like most states, Kentucky simply blocks all traffic for about an hour. They did that to me -- TWICE -- the last time I was through this state.

This trip was an entry from the north central part of the state (south of Cincinnati) then down thru the center part of the state and the west through Louisville. Most stops were to photograph signs on college campuses. Remaining to visit in this state is the Cumberland Gap National Park in the extreme southeastern part of the state. And, I would like to spend some time exploring the Land Between the Lakes area and when at the southern end of it (which is in Tennessee), revisit Fort Donelson National Park which I missed visiting in March because I was there before it opened.
