One of my more recent goals during traveling is to photograph the sign at all of the major U.S. colleges and universities. If I had started this goal in 2004, I would have gotten over 50 more than I now have. However, many years before I started this new photography college, I did manage to photograph the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. And that was when I was in Albuquerque and knew my good friend Suzanne and her husband Steve had met while in college in Albuquerque. So for this trip I only needed to pick up New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. It was just a 45-minute drive north of El Paso where I already planned to be.
