This place is quite a drive from my home in Kansas City. And it has never been near a route I have
taken in the past. But since it is a national park site, I decided to visit, despite what I believe
is a stupid sounding name (yeah, I know, it was named after the early commanding officer of the fort).
It would be nice if they letter "e" was included in the name: Learned. Anyway, a quick visit (national
park #125) was warranted and it was my last planned stop on this trip.
