I had not been to Allentown - Bethlehem PA before. However, it is on my long list of possible places to which to retire. In fact, based only on Internet research and its close proximity to Philadelphia and New York City and Baltimore and Washington DC and Boston, it was the leading contender. Thus, I wanted to check out the city.

However, once I visited the city, I was unimpressed. No apartments have garages. There was one apartment complex in the town of Perkasie PA about 25 miles south of Allentown. Yes, garages were on the lower level and the apartment above it. However, all apartments had air conditioners of window units. Baaaaaaad! So for now, Allentown is off my list. Too bad too because living in Pennsylvania would sort of like "coming home" to my roots since this state is as far back as I have learned of my direct line of Wilsons.
