I was in Albany in 1986 to do some family history research. At that time I had yet to begin my quest to photograph all state capitol buildings. That was really my only reason for being in Albany on this trip. Happily, this capitol made #48 for me, leaving just Alaska and Hawaii. After I snapped the first photo of the capitol, I let out a "woo hoo" to celebrate getting the 48th one. I also texted several people of this major milestone. Between 2008 and 2015 I photographed all 48 capitols.
