The towns of French Lick and West Braden are side-by-side towns, each with a quite large and fancy resort hotel. They both make use of the nearby mineral springs. Then, each has its own feature to distinguish it from the other resort.

French Lick Resort has a casino plus a large balcony with rocking chairs. It also has a horse drawn carriage ride. Inside on several walls are photos of the numerous very famous people who have stayed at the resort over the years.
