I had often heard of this city and knew it was on the beautiful southwest coast of Florida so that is the main reason to come to rown.

It was before sunrise and dark and totally cloudy sprinkling as I drove through this area. The downtown area looked very, very nice and I would like to have seen it in more detail.

The traffic lights along highway 41 were timed perfectly from Bradenton to just east of South Venice. Then we had to stop at N. River Road. And from that point on, the rest of the day, I had to stop at about half of the traffic lights. In fact, the entire way along highway 41 all the way to Naples was one long business section except for a several mile stretch between Punta Gorda Ft. Myers.
