I mostly came here because it is a national park and visiting it counts towards my goal of visiting at least 100 of them.

The Everglades park is HUGE. It is actually on both sides of Big Cypress. When I drove south on highway 29 from highway 41 to see the southern edge of Big Cypress, there was a section of the Everglades, including a visitor center and a boat ride into the Gulf. Hey, it counts as having visited the park!
