This was my starting and ending point for this trip. It was my closest major city along my route. The library of President George W Bush is here as is Texas Christian University. I visited both. President Bush's library made #21 of the 43 that I need to visit.

Unfortunately, there was lots of construction going on around the campus area so parking was difficult. Several busses there too so decided to skip the inside tour. That was okay since, one, I wanted to get to the airport and get on standby for an earlier flight home, and, two I had, and still have, very little respect for President W.

The library is on the campus of SMU (Southern Methodist University). The campus is adjacent to a very beautiful upscale neighborhood (similar to Ward Parkway and Mission Hills in Kansas City). Gorgeous fancy houses with lots of landscaping and blooming gardens. Impressive.
