I needed to come to this town for several reasons. One was to photograph the home of
President Andrew Jackson although I had been here many years ago. Another was to
photograph the state capitol building (#42 of 50). A third was to see Vanderbilt University
since a couple of childhood friends went to college here. I wanted to visit the guy who was
my college roommate for two years -- he succeeded me as student body president after serving
as my vice-president -- but he was visiting family in Wisconsin at this time.
I also got to see Tennessee State Universoty. They had a nice large good-looking sign marking
the entrance to their campus. Vanderbilt, on the other hand, is a scattered campus amongst
businesses and I never could find their sign.
Nashville traffic in early afternoon is crazy. Additionally, I kept losing satelltes on the GPS, probably half a dozen times.
