I needed to come to this town to see the home of President Zachary Taylor and
of course photograph it. He is President #32 of 43 to visit by the end of next year.
His home is privately owned now so it is not open to the public.
I was really tired and perturbed when I got to Louisville because the highway department
had stranded us for just under an hour on I-71 from Cincinnati. And this was on a day when I
was fighting the clock because of the many miles to go in the day. That soured my
impressions of Kentucky.
I missed seeing much of Louisville. And it was when I was in Lexington (after Louisville)\
that I realized that I forgot that Louisville University is, of course, in Louisville.
Thus, missed another major university, especially one that is often a top team in
basketball.
I also missed seeing the famous Kentucky Derby's Churchill Downs. Uncertain even which town it is in.
