I asked someone who had vacationed many times in Wisconsin for what to see around Milwaukee and/or Madison. The recommendations were Taliesin (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright) and House on the Rock. Both are in the town of Spring Green which is about an hour east of Madison.

Unfortunately, it rained all day so did not really get to see or photograph much plus Taliesen is not open on weekends.
