I was in Salt Lake City in 1997 but then only to change airplanes on the way to Reno, NV. On this trip I got
to drive through the city, and state, twice. Of course wanted to photograph the state capitol. It was state
#27 of 50. Then, since I like visiting major universities, I stopped by both Utah Uniersity and Brigham Young
University (BYU). Finally, because I started working on my family history in 1980, I had to see the LDS Temple
since they have one of the best genealogical collections in the world.
Living in a suburb of Salt Lake is a long-time friend and former co-worker and her husband. I had lunch with them.
They picked the restaurant ahead of time and sent me the address to meet them there. We visited for 2-1/2 hours
before I headed on the Moab, UT and Arches National Park.
