First time to visit Sacramento. I wanted to photograph the state capitol building. It was state #23 of 50.
The city itself seemed okay. Downtown looks like so many other downtowns. They made sure you get to see all
of it too because all traffic lights are designed to turn red just as the previous light you just left turned
green. Even though he is no longer the governor, when I think of Sacramento, I think of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
While driving through the very tall state of California the thought occurred to me that many states have a
place named Mill Creek and probably another place called Table Rock. Popular common names. Also, driving
through the three western states I saw numerous trucks hauling logs. They are both on the highways and in
the towns. But what surprised me most was that when leaving California going north it is almost an upward
incline the whole way. Sort of like driving west through Kansas. Then, when I-5 gets to Oregon, it starts
going downhill when heading north. One more thing, I believe Oregon has some law (or at least a suggestion)
that headlights are always on regardless of the time of day or brightness of the day.
