Bethel (pop. 1,200) is a small vibrant town in central western Maine. It lies at the intersection of highways 2, 5 and 26 and is just 10 miles from the New Hampshire border.
Many businesses seem to be active along the main streets through town. Many people were out and about on the clear warm Mother's Day.
Bethel has a lot of walking paths. They seem to have given much thought to giving the people a chance to enjoy the town and nature.
What is interesting is that Bethel has one of the best looking web sites (http://www.bethelmaine.com) Larry has ever seen, period. That goes for its simple yet elegant look. Content is a separate issue. Anyway, nice town with a nice looking website.
