Coming upon this place was a fortunate happenstance. I had no idea we were going to go right
by this observatory. Since early on I have always been fascinated with anything dealing with
outer space. In fact, according to my baby book (it helps to be the first born of parents),
my first sentence was "Moon broke" when seeing a crescent moon. What that tells me is that
I was observant even at that very early age to be looking up at the sky and thinking about
what I was seeing there.
Only place I hvae gotten to actually look through a large telescope is in the Chaco Canyon
National Park in northwestern New Mexico.
