This is an incredible place to go to bring out the kid in us. And, it brings back lots
of memories and the smiles that go along with those memories. Charles Schulz seemed like
such a humble man who had a long career as a cartoonist. Most everyone has heard of
the Peanuts Gang of Charlie Brown and Snoopy and Linus and Lucy. Those characters were
featured in many ways. Great fun touring the place.
What I thought was really cool was that, when he was alive and working there, Charles
often came to the dining area to have lunch. And there was, and still is, a reserved
sign on one table where he always sat. Some of the workers there said he would often
talk with the visitors there. I can see Charles Schulz and Harry Truman, although they
had quite different careers, of being of very similar personality -- genuine down to
earth people persons.
