The book Record of Pennsylvania Marriages Prior to 1810' (two volumes by ClarenceBusch, 1895) lists some possible ancestral marriages. One is on page 204 in vol.II with William Wilson and Hannah Hart married Apr.03, 1739 in the Abington Presbyterian Church in Montgomery county -- 1739 is about the right year for ancestor William's marriage since his ancestral son James was born about 1740, and, the Wilsons tended to be Presbyterians. The others on page 289 of vol.I are two James Wilsons, both married in Christ Church of Philadelphia, one married Jul.07, 1768 to Mary Plumsted and the other married Aug.02, 1770 to Elizabeth Singer -- both of these dates are very likely the same time that the ancestor James would have been married since his ancestral son Mathew was born in 1777.
