Book 'History of Medina County Ohio' (1881, unnamed author) mentions Searls on several page. Page 772 tells of the marriage of a daughter of ancestor Daniel Searls of the Hinckley township. Page 780 has a brief write-up of Daniel Searls Jr. saying he is a farmer in nearby Richfield and is the son of New York natives Daniel Searls and Phoebe Fisher. This Daniel Jr. first married Mary Ann (and they had one child), the daughter of ancestors James and Phoebe Halstead who were pioneers of Hinckley.
