Page 19 of the book 'Biographical Annals of Cumberland County Pennsylvania' (1905, author unnamed) mentions a Revolutionary War Captain named John Meteer whose company was a part of General James Potter's brigade that fought battles around the Philadelphia area. Pages 676 through 685 has much about the Huston family as well as a bit more about the Meteers/McTeers/Metiers. [1240]
