I actually only came to this town so I could visit the adjacent Cape Henlopen State Park that is right on the beach. And, no land is to the east of it. Thus, a clear shot of the Atlantic Ocean, and a sunrise. But, since total overcast I had to settle for seeing the ocean and beach along with a few birds and a few people.

For us folks who live in the middle of the continent, it is always amazing to just look at and listen to an ocean. I could easily get used to having that every day!

what was fun to watch was the three baby seagulls on the beach. Each time the tide would wash out, they would run to where the water just receded and search for some yummy morsel to eat. Then quickly the tide would come back in again. And the little birds would scurry running away from the tide. Then repeat. Then repeat again. And again. And again. Every once in a while the tide would come back in faster than they could run. Then they would fly a couple of yards away. Then back at the game. Seemed like a tough way to get a meal but apparently that is what they do. Cute!
