I decided to stop here to see Thompson Park.

The guy who was my boss from 1982 through 1989 had previously lived in Watertown. He would occasionally mention something about Watertown, usually fondly.

Upon first entering the town, I was impressed. However, later in the day (around noon) as I began the four-mile trip through downtown that my GPS said would take 8 minutes actually took 20 because of stopping at the dozens of traffic lights. Garmin needs to adjust their time calculation to add one minute for every traffic light between the two points. Same thing happened when I needed to come back to downtown to get to my hotel -- the time estimate was less than half reality.

It snow flurried most of the day I was in Watertown, sometimes the flakes were big and dense but melted upon hitting the ground, thankfully.
