I originally had not planned to come here since it was a bit out of my way. But a co-worker, knowing my lifelong love of baseball, helped me realize I needed to make the extra journey here. SO MANY famous players that I grew up watching are inducted into this hall of fame. Worth the visit.

When I was visiting, the road and sidewalk in front of the HOF was all torn up so the visitors had to weave through the barricades.

The ticket desk asks for your zip code then prints your ticket with a picture of some famous ballplayer from your nearest team. George Brett was printed on mine but I would rather have had Satchel Paige's picture on it. That guy was possibly the greatest pitcher ever but was past his prime by the time the players from the Negro Leagues got to play in the Majors. He is credited in the Hall of Fame as being the oldest player ever to play in the Majors, at age 59.
