I have often heard how cool this city is to visit. It is considered to be the oldest extant U.S. city. So quite a bit of history here.

The city did not disappoint. My tour guide friend had been here a few times so I got an insider's perspective. We parked in the right places, visited the best beaches, walked the neighborhoods of old vintage houses, saw the huge cross in a park, climbed the 217 lighthouse stairs, and drove along the ocean front (highway 1A1) to see the mansions of the rich (and maybe some are also famous).

It was a beautiful day once the fog lifted. I drove out of Orlando towards Jacksonville and once I got to the coast at Daytona Beach there was a very thick fog that limited visibility to about two blocks. Then after meeting my friend at her house, we drove down to St. Augustine. Wow is all I can say!
