Here is a trivia question for you: name the five U.S. states (not counting Alaska and Hawaii) whose state capital is NOT on the U.S. interstate system?

By the way, the state capital of Alaska, Juneau, cannot be reached from ANYWHERE else by road. There simply are no roads leading out of Juneau. Only way to get there is boat or plane.

Anyway, had to stop here to get my "required" photo of yet another state capitol building. Interestingly, Pierre is just barely in the Central time zone. Leave town west and you gain an hour as you enter the Mountain time zone. I do have a distant cousin (third cousin) living here that I have yet to met.

I like Pierre the city. The roads are all much wider than usual. But the highway leading to it from I-90, a mere 32 miles, seemed like 92 because it all looked the same, and boring. Some photos are included here.
