After searching the web for a reasonably priced cabin or house, and, several negotiations, a house in Kirby VT was the selection. Kirby is just a few miles east of St. Johnsbury VT in northeast Vermont. St. Johnsbury is at the intersection of I91 and I93.

Amber and Dennis Steele own the Kirby house. They live nearby it. Their website is http://vermontweek.com.

The house has two bedrooms, one large bathroom with a washer/dryer, kitchen, living room, and a windowless narrow dining room. No central air since this part of the world does not get very warm. There is an old fashioned furnace unit next to the television and DVD player in the living room. Portable space heaters are available in the bedrooms.

The guests are expected to leave the place as clean as they found it (ie. run the dishes in the dishwasher, launder the towels and sheets, empty the trash, etc.) to get back the $500 deposit. Otherwise, everything is fully furnished (except for an ironing board, hair dryer and Internet).
