Burlington VT is the largest town in Vermont with a population of just under 40,000. It is on the eastern shore of the large Lake Champlain. We flew in and out of here (changing planes in Detroit) on Pinnacle, a regional carrier for Delta.

We tried to drive the 21 miles south of Burlington to the town of Vergennes (ver-gens). However, the holiday traffic volume coupled with a traffic light every other block let us only get four miles in twenty minutes. So we turned around and said "another time" for visiting the Maritime Museum west of Vergennes.

Burlington and Lake Champlain are worthy of a future trip. Circling the lake on both the Vermont and the New York sides could easily fill a week.
