Hanover fits many definitions: college town, New England town, Ivy League school and a place that has grown faster than the infrastructure can adjust. College students were everywhere on foot and on bicycle. They were enjoying the large park area. They were window shopping. And they crowded the sidewalks. Traffic was a mess along and around Main Street. Parking impeded the traffic flow.

Visiting major colleges and universities is one of three types of places I always try to visit (Presidents homes/museums and national parks are the other two). So getting to see another one of the Ivy League colleges was a high priority on my list. The Ivy League schools are:

  1. Brown in Providence
  2. Columbia in New York City
  3. Cornell in Ithaca
  4. Dartmouth in Hanover
  5. Harvard in Cambridge
  6. Princeton in New Jersey
  7. Pennsylvania in Philadelphia
  8. Yale in New Haven
