Enterprise Rent-a-car RUINED MY BIRTHDAY. There is no way they can make up for that!

Three months in advance I planned this trip. Two months in advance I booked the flight, the hotels and the car rental. It is what Enterprise (whom I have rented from in the past) did NOT tell me that ruined my birthday.

September is a great month in which to have a birthday. The summer crowds and heat are gone. School and football season start. The leaves start turning colors in some parts of the country.

My birthday is in the middle of the month. Nice time to take a vacation. I always take off work for my birthday. I like to spend the day in some part of the country other than home. I have often done that. This year was no exception. I have long wanted to go to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks. I changed and arranged my entire trip, several times while planning, so I would be in those two parks on my birthday.

Well, Enterprise said NO. But they did not tell me that until I got the car in Spokane. They said the car could not go into the state of Wyoming. Since when have car rental places started restricting the states?!?!

As I said -- Enterprise cannot make up for this. Even if they offered me a full all-expenses paid trip to the two parks, I still have to take additional vacation time to do that. And, it would not be on my birthday, unless I wait an entire year, or two, or three, or ...

West Yellowstone MT

The very small town (eight blocks by eight blocks) of West Yellowstone appears to exist just to serve as a gateway to the park. Wonderfully wide streets to accommodate the large RV's constantly all over town. The parking spaces around town are all long too. Good place to start a journey into the park.
