The Coulee Dam is about 90 miles west northwest of Spokane WA. When reading on the web of the size of the dam and the amount of materials it took to build the dam, it staggers the mind. The final result of what we can see today seems small by comparison of what actually makes up the dam. And, of course, all around the dam are hundreds of power lines and their accompanying towers. A visitors center near to dam explains the history of the dam project.
