Boothbay Harbor (pop. 1,250) is at the southern tip of one of the dozens of penisulas along the southwest coast of Maine. It fits the classic description of a tourist town.

Almost all of the buildings are two or three stories tall. All are well maintained on the outside. Many are shops or restaurants.

We spent a couple of hours walking around the downtown section of this town. The town makes use of its valuable property on the coast as there is hardly a square foot not occupied by a road or a building.
