Homework assignment

Homework Assignment -- especially for the beginner

  • This assignment will be graded by future generations

  • Make several copies of a Family Group Sheet [FGS] form (click here [FGS] to download an example form)

  • Fill out one FGS on yourself plus one for each of all adults in your family: siblings, parents, siblings of your parents, grandparents, siblings of your grandparents, your adult children and grandchildren, first cousins.

Once a Family Group Sheet exists on each of these relatives, you will have a solid base for beginning your research. The collection of FGS’s will quickly point out the areas of information that need to be found. You may also note that some information needs to be verified due to conflicts, seemingly erroneous data, confusing data, etc.

HAPPY HUNTING and GOOD LUCK !!! : > )
