Newspaper article appearing on page 4 in the Dec.07, 1886 edition of The Times Recorder of Zanesville, Muskingum county, Ohio [where Matthew M. Wilson had lived for a number of years] stating that the will of Matthew in Xenia, Greene county, Ohio is being contested by a son of Matthew M. Wilson named Matthew Durbin Wilson. THe article states that the estate value of Matthew is around $50,000 which, in 2024 dollars, is worth over $1.6 million. 'Durbin' brings up some serious allegations about the will and his mother's life-long treatment of Durbin. [W__0712]
