Will of Christian Shantz (?1746-c1776) written Apr.26, 1776 in Lampeter township of Lancaster county Pennsylvania. He bequeathed to his mother Barbara and to his step-father John [Johann] Nicdig, uncle Jacob Shantz, brothers John and Samuel. No wife and children are given in the will. Because (A) he is bequeating to people in an older generation, and, (B) no mention of wife and children, (C) means he knew he was dying at a reasonably young age and may not have been married (unless he was a widower) and/or had children -- all of which means this Christian Shantz is likely not ancestor but is the son of ancestors Christian and Barbara Shantz.
